Part of the money raised from the sales of “Ilargiaren alde iluna” will be donated to Biodonostia, the Health Research Institute located in Donostia-San Sebastian. The author of the book is Gari Irazusta (Anoeta, 1990) and he will give the money in recognition of the work Bionodonostia has done through these years.
This donation will allow Biodonostia to continue investigating cancer disease. Irazusta himself lost his father due to cancer and some years later his mother also suffered and overcame it. He declared that writing this book has supposed a therapy for him.
Isabel Álvarez, principal investigator of Breast Cancer Research Group, and María Muñoz Caffarel, Ikerbasque Research Fellow, invited Irazusta on February to Biodonostia and acknowledge his gesture.
