Held positions as a Marie Curie Fellow at Università degli Studi di Trento, Italy (2019–2020), researcher with the European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training (EPIET) at the University of Foggia, Italy (2018), and postdoctoral researcher at NOVA University of Lisbon (2017–2018) and Lisbon University (2012–2016). Holds dual Ph.D.s in Life Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Population Biology from Lisbon University (both 2012).
