Ikerbasque, the Basque Science Foundation, celebrates its 10th anniversary years and the magnificent results obtained during this decade.
The initiative was promoted in 2007 by the Basque Government to reinforce the scientific research carried out by universities and research centers in Euskadi, and since then the scientific production of Euskadi has tripled, gaining a greater weight in the international scene and improving its impact.
During this decade, Ikerbasque has focused on research talent as a fundamental axis of science policy, attracting researchers from all over the world, including Basque researchers who at some point in their career left the Basque Country and offering career opportunities to people who were already in centers of Euskadi with non-permanent positions.
