Study of the distribution of species in relation to environmental gradients, ecological and evolutionary modeling of ecological and geographical distributions of plants and animals, phylogeography, paleoecology.Has previous research experience in tropical ecology, macroecology, experimental ecology, evolutionary ecology, computational ecology and evolution in USA (Stanford University, The Evergreen State College, Washington State) and Switzerland (University of Zürich, Swiss Federal Research Institute).
