Environmental genomics as a tool for monitoring anthropogenic impacts and improve the understanding of marine ecosystems and microbial communities.

Previously awarded a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship and a Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Previous research experience at the University of Bergen (Norway) and NEIKER-Tecnalia (Spain).

PhD in Biology from the University of Bergen (2013).
